Gerrard's tenure with Liverpool saw him compete in 710 matches and secure 9 titles. In a recent interview, he recounted, "Certainly, there were several international clubs that expressed interest in me, with many inquiries coming from Mourinho, including Inter and Real Madrid, and not just on one occasion. Additionally, discussions about the matter with my agent occurred around the time Schweinsteiger departed from Bayern."
