The FIFPRO World 11, honoring the top male and female footballers as chosen by the Professional Footballers' Association, represents the annual accolade for the finest soccer talents. Initially known as the FIFPRO World 11, this prestigious honor was established in 2005 to celebrate the finest footballers as voted by their peers. In 2009, a collaboration between FIFPRO and FIFA led to a rename to the "FIFA FIFPRO World 11," also known as the FIFA Team of the Year, while maintaining the original voting process. As of 2024, FIFPRO has taken sole responsibility for the award, reverting to its original title: the FIFPRO World 11.
The FIFPRO Team of the Year, a globally recognized accolade, is meticulously chosen through a voting process exclusively conducted by professional footballers from around the globe. The eligibility for this prestigious honor is based on performances between August 4, 2025, and July 19, 2026, with the prerequisite of having participated in at least 30 official matches during this period.
